Position Summary: Registered Nurse is responsible for the supervision of personal care workers and the delivery of personal care services to consumers. Work duties include home visits, consumer assessments, development of appropriate plans of care, and supervision of and performance evaluation of personal care workers. Reports to the Manager of Personal Assistance Services.

Experience: one year supervisory experience

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must have valid license as Registered Nurse where the assigned facility is located.
  • Must have valid Driver License and good driving record.

Experience and Skills:

Professional Qualifications:

  1. Current licensure as a registered nurse under Wis. Stat. § 441.06.
  2. At least one year of supervisory or administrative experience required.
  3. Training and experience in the provision of personal care services or in a related program.
  4. Experience in personal care, home health, hospice, or rehabilitation preferred.
  5. Excellent communication skills, especially written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Proficient knowledge of and experience in the general use of computers and internet.
  7. Experience with and knowledge of Wisconsin Medicaid system preferred.
  8. Flexibility in the work environment and ability to adapt to changing department needs.
  9. Transportationally mobile or able to arrange own transportation as consumer home visits are located throughout entire service area.
  10. Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws related to community-based health care.
  11. Ability to conduct home visits in environments that may or may not be accessible.
  12. Bilingual English and Spanish, Hmong, Russian, Arabic, or other fluency preferred.
  13. Must meet caregiver background check requirements under s. 50.065, Statutes, and ch. DHS 12.
